A Sharper Scaling v1.2
A Sharper Scaling v1.2 A Sharper Scaling is a free, high quality image scaling technology mainly developed for upscaling. Examples The following examples are most clear if the images are viewed in their original resolution. Otherwise, the browser does another image scaling on top, somewhat obfuscating the differences these examples are about. It's usually easy to get the original resolution shown. On a Windows PC or Notebook, just hold down the Ctrl key and spin the mouse wheel up or down until the left side pattern of this test stripe looks exactly like a miniature version of the right side pattern (chessboard-like). For comparison, all examples show the results of two conventional methods as well. Bicubic interpolation is what most image editors offer as the most appropriate method for image scaling. The interpolation results are a bit blurry, so another conventional action might be to sharpen them. (The sharpening method used for the examples is "unsharp masking".) The 3rd alternative shown is a scaling method Adobe introduced in 2013 with Photoshop CC, called "Preserve Details". (I suppose it's also based on bicubic interpolation internally, but I may be wrong.) The function has a single adjustment "Reduce Noise" which was set to zero for the test because the pictures have very little noise only. Digital Zoom Small versions of whole pictures are probably not the most typical use case for image upscaling. Ideally, upscaling is the first geometric transformation, which means that the input still has the resolution of the camera. The next examples are details of pictures coming directly from the cam: (These are critical details not random. Many other details don't show much difference between A.S.S. and a sharpened interpolation.) Apart From Scaling Although A Sharper Scaling does nothing but scaling images, it can also contribute to the quality of other geometric transformations like rotation, perspective correction, or lens ...

AppCrashView v1.35
AppCrashView v1.35 AppCrashView is a small utility for Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10 that displays the details of all application crashes occurred in your system. The crashes information is extracted from the .wer files created by the Windows Error Reporting (WER) component of the operating system every time that a crash is occurred. AppCrashView also allows you to easily save the crashes list to text/csv/html/xml file. System Requirements For now, this utility only works on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows 8, and Windows 10. simply because the earlier versions of Windows don't save the crash information into .wer files. It's possible that in future versions, I'll also add support for Windows XP/2000/2003 by using Dr. Watson (Drwtsn32.exe) or other debug component that capture the crash information. Versions History Version 1.35 Added 'Quick Filter' feature (View -> Use Quick Filter or Ctrl+Q). When it's turned on, you can type a string in the text-box added under the toolbar and AppCrashView will instantly filter the application crashes list, showing only lines that contain the string you typed. Using AppCrashView AppCrashView doesn't require any installation process or additional dll files. BetterDummy v1.0.9
BetterDummy v1.0.9 Dummy Display for Apple Silicon/Intel Macs to Have Custom HiDPI Resolutions. M1 macs tend to have issues with custom resolutions. Notoriously they don't allow sub-4K resolution displays to have HiDPI ("Retina") resolutions even though (for example) a 24" QHD 1440p display would greatly benefit from having an 1920x1080 HiDPI "Retina" mode. To fix this issue, some resort to buying a 4K HDMI dummy dongle to fool macOS into thinking that a 4K display is connected and then mirror the contents of this dummy display to their actual monitor in order to have HiDPI resolutions available. Others use the built in screens of their MacBooks to mirror to the external display. These approaches have obvious drawbacks and cannot solve all problems. To fix this problem, BetterDummy creates a virtual dummy display which you can then utilize as a mirror main. Advantages of BetterDummy over a physical 4K HDMI dummy plug or mirroring your internal display: *Your HDMI port will remain usable for an other display on the Mac Mini. *Your internal screen will be available as an extended space on a MacBook (or you can use clamshell mode). *Does not suffer from issues that prevalent with the physical dummy (like jittery mouse cursor). *Offers a much wider variety of HiDPI and standard resolutions. *Works with all aspect ratios, does not depend on what resoluations are recorded in the dummy's EDID/firmware. *Does not utilize graphics hardware in vain so it is somewhat faster. *Available instantly. Some other possible uses: *The app is also useful for anybody who is not satisfied with the offered default HiDPI resolutions offered by macOS - as in some cases this could be rather limiting - especially ...

BgInfo v4.28
BgInfo v4.28 How many times have you walked up to a system in your office and needed to click through several diagnostic windows to remind yourself of important aspects of its configuration, such as its name, IP address, or operating system version? If you manage multiple computers you probably need BGInfo. It automatically displays relevant information about a Windows computer on the desktop's background, such as the computer name, IP address, service pack version, and more. You can edit any field as well as the font and background colors, and can place it in your startup folder so that it runs every boot, or even configure it to display as the background for the logon screen. Because BGInfo simply writes a new desktop bitmap and exits, you don't have to worry about it consuming system resources or interfering with other applications. Installation and Use By placing BGInfo in your Startup folder, you can ensure that the system information being displayed is up to date each time you boot. Once you've settled on the information to be displayed, use the command-line option /timer:0 to update the display without showing the dialog box. You can also use the Windows Scheduler to run BGInfo on a regular basis to ensure long-running systems are kept up to date. If you create a BGInfo configuration file (using the File|Save Settings menu item) you can automatically import and use those settings on other systems by adding the /I<path> or /iq<path> command line option. Using BgInfo When you run BGInfo it shows you the appearance and content of its default desktop background. If left untouched it will automatically apply these settings and exit after its 10 second count-down timer expires. Selecting any button or menu item will disable the timer, allowing you to customize the layout and content of the background information. If you want BGInfo ...

BootSafe v5.0
BootSafe v5.0 A no-hassle utility to restart Windows in the Safe Mode of your choice. Compatible with Windows XP – Windows 10 Purpose: Windows ‘Safe Modes’ are designed to start Windows with minimal functionality and no additional running software. This can be very useful in troubleshooting, repair, and malware removal scenarios. BootSafe removes the work normally involved in configuring and starting Windows in any Safe Mode environment. BootSafe also automatically attempts to repair damage to registry areas required to start ‘Safe Mode’ (in the event of a malware infection, or when other damage occurs.) Usage: Simply run BootSafe and select the desired Safe Mode option. Next click the ‘Restart Windows’ button to apply the configuration and restart Windows (this will force the restart instantly, closing any open software; any data not saved will be lost!) Alternately you may apply the configuration only (allowing you to restart later at your convenience) by clicking the ‘Configure Only (No Restart)’ button. Upon restarting into a ‘Safe Mode’ you will be prompted by BootSafe to return to ‘Normal Mode’ or to continue starting in the ‘Safe Mode’ you chose on any subsequent restarts. Backup: Before any run, BootSafe creates or verifies that %systemdrive%\BCDbak exists, if not it is created with the command “bcdedit.exe /export %systemdrive%\BCDbak” and can be imported manually with bcdedit’s /import command. This process should never be necessary as BootSafe will always have the capability through the user interface or via command line parameter to restore Normal Mode startup functionality, and additionally this command at recovery console will undo the behavior: bcdedit.exe /deletevalue safeboot * Special note for Microsoft accounts in Windows 10: Windows 10 introduces Microsoft (online) accounts as the default user creation type, which allow certain settings and files to be backed up online and/or transferred to other PCs that also sign-in with the ...

BulkFileChanger v1.73
BulkFileChanger v1.73 A small utility that allows you to create a file list from multiple folders and then perform actions on them. Modify their created/modified/accessed time, change their file attribute (Read Only, Hidden, System), run an executable with these files as parameter, and copy/cut paste into Explorer. System Requirements and Limitations • This utility works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. • If you set a date prior to 01/01/1980, Windows Explorer will not display this date, due to a limitation originally created for old FAT systems. You can still watch an old file date using other file managers like 7-zip, using BulkFileChanger utility, or by right-clicking on the file and choosing 'Properties'. • If you want to set an old date for .jpg images, there is a workaround for the 01/01/1980 limit - Simply set the 'EXIF - Generated Time' (In the fourth line) to the desired old date/time, and then you should see this date/time on Windows Explorer under the 'Date taken' column and 'Date' column. Changes Version 1.73: Fixed issue: When choosing to set only time or only date, the actual date was the day after or the day before the selected date, depending on the time zone. Using BulkFileChanger BulkFileChanger doesn't require any installation process or additional dll files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - BulkFileChanger.exe After running BulkFileChanger, you can add files into the list by using one of the following methods: • Copy and Paste: Simply copy files from Explorer window (Ctrl+C) and then paste them into BulkFileChanger (Ctrl+V). ControlUWP v0.22.0 Note: The additional install prompt when you first run the program is Microsoft’s .Net Core which is completely safe and required. An enthusiast take on what the Windows 10 Settings app should be and where everything is in place. It’s not a secret that the Windows 10 Settings app is not everyone’s cup of tea. The modern version of the settings control is limited and missing a majority of options you can access in the classic control panel. The new settings app is a monster of a GUI with a lot of wasted space, cluttered and chaotic to the end and many functions are simply ugly integrated. ControlUWP app doesn't replace (currently) the native Windows 10 settings panel but tries to bring at least a little order into it. It bundles the most important locations and recommended settings in one place and you can open and execute them in bulk. It is completely modular and based on PowerShell scripts. Everybody can map their favorite settings as they want. Because you can! Some software is licensed based on the number of active CPUs in the machine. CPUSetter will enable you to be within the terms of your software license. Power Saving. Disabling Hyperthreading can help mitigate Spectre/Meltdown expoits. CPU resources can be allocated according to your particular workflow. Many Pro Tools users have reported much better throughput by disabling hyperthreading. Crawlers
Crawlers Crawlers is a multiplayer game where 2-4 players battle against each other with bug-like tanks! Equip your tank with the weapons and equipment that best suits your playstyle. In this game two or more players can battle each other with mechanical bug-like robots in a post-war setting. The first part of the game is the building phase. Here each player has a limited amount of cash to spend on weapons. Weapons can be rotated in any direction and placed anywhere on your crawler. A key mechanic is your ability to bind every weapon to any button on your controller. Simply use whatever button to place the weapon and that same button will be the trigger for that (or those) weapon(s). When all players are done buying weapons it's time to duke it out in the street! Weapons can be destroyed, but the goal is to destroy all enemy crawlers. When their cores start fading they are almost done for! *** We recommend using controllers for the best gaming experience ***

CSV Buddy v3.0
CSV Buddy v3.0 A Swiss knife for your CSV files. CSV Buddy helps you make your CSV files ready to be imported by a variety of software. Load/save/export files with various delimiters and lots of options, including scripting. Freeware. Features Even if the CSV file format is a widely accepted standard, it is still found in multiple flavors. In some implementations, fields are separated by comma. Others are delimited with tab, semi-colon or a variety of characters depending on the OS. Most CSV file records stand on one line. However, some programs export multi-line data with line breaks inside fields (try to load in Excel a CSV export from Outlook or Gmail contacts with multi-line notes text fields). Many programs will have a hard time importing these various variations of the CSV format. The freeware CSV Buddy helps you make your CSV files ready to be imported by a variety of software. Load files with all sorts of field delimiters (auto-detection of comma, tab, semi-colon, etc.). Field containing delimiters or line breaks can be embedded in various encapsulators (double-quotes, single-quotes, pipes or any character). Get field names from the file’s header (first line) or set your own column titles. Load data with line-breaks. Rename, select or reorder fields. Merge fields into new columns. In a grid, add, edit or delete records. Sort them on alphabetical or numeric values (integer or float). Filter the list, search records with global or columnn search. Search and replace, confirm each replacement or replace all. Save all or selected rows to a new file using any delimiters, with header or not. Replace line breaks in data fields with a marker to make your file ready to load in software (like MS-Excel) that can only load single-line fields. Automate tasks with CSV Messenger (included) scripting commands. This app allows to set the ...

CurrPorts v2.77
CurrPorts v2.77 Free tool that monitors opened TCP/IP network ports/connections. CurrPorts is network monitoring software that displays the list of all currently opened TCP/IP and UDP ports on your local computer. For each port in the list, information about the process that opened the port is also displayed, including the process name, full path of the process, version information of the process (product name, file description, and so on), the time that the process was created, and the user that created it. In addition, CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened the ports, and save the TCP/UDP ports information to HTML file , XML file, or to tab-delimited text file. CurrPorts also automatically mark with pink color suspicious TCP/UDP ports owned by unidentified applications (Applications without version information and icons) Notice: • When the 'Use DNS Cache For Host Names' option is turned on, there is a significant memory leak on every refresh. This memory leak is not caused directly by CurrPorts, but by the DNS cache programming interface of Windows. Currently, I cannot find a workaround for this problem, so if you run CurrPorts for many hours in automatic refresh mode, it's recommended to turn off the 'Use DNS Cache For Host Names' option. • If you want to monitor UDP activity, you should try using the LiveTcpUdpWatch tool. Cygwin v3.2.0-1
Cygwin v3.2.0-1 Cygwin is: a large collection of GNU and Open Source tools which provide functionality similar to a Linux distribution on Windows. a DLL (cygwin1.dll) which provides substantial POSIX API functionality. Cygwin is not: a way to run native Linux apps on Windows. You must rebuild your application from source if you want it to run on Windows. a way to magically make native Windows apps aware of UNIX® functionality like signals, ptys, etc. Again, you need to build your apps from source if you want to take advantage of Cygwin functionality. General installation notes When installing packages for the first time, setup*.exe does not install every package. Only the minimal base packages from the Cygwin distribution are installed by default, which takes up about 100 MB. Clicking on categories and packages in the setup*.exe package installation screen allows you to select what is installed or updated. Individual packages like bash, gcc, less, etc. are released independently of the Cygwin DLL, so the Cygwin DLL version is not useful as a general Cygwin release number. The setup*.exe utility tracks the versions of all installed components and provides the mechanism for installing or updating everything available from this site for Cygwin. Once you've installed your desired subset of the Cygwin distribution, setup*.exe will remember what you selected so rerunning the program will update your system with any new package releases. On Windows Vista and later, setup*.exe will check by default if it runs with administrative privileges and, if not, will try to elevate the process. If you want to avoid this behaviour and install under an unprivileged account just for your own usage, run setup*.exe with the --no-admin option. Q: Is there a command-line installer? A: Yes and no. The setup*.exe program understands command-line arguments which allow ...

EdgeCookiesView v1.17
EdgeCookiesView v1.17 EdgeCookiesView is a tool for Windows that displays the cookies stored by newer versions of Microsoft Edge Web browser and IE11 (Starting from Fall Creators Update 1709 of Windows 10). It also allows you to select one or more cookies and then export them to tab-delimited, csv file, html file, or to a file in cookies.txt format. You can read the cookies from the current running system or from the WebCacheV01.dat database on external hard drive. Notice: The new version of Edge is now based on Chromium, so you can use the ChromeCookiesView tool to view the cookies of this new Edge Web browser. EdgeCookiesView vs IECookiesView IECookiesView is very old tool originally developed in 2002 (!) and it still works with earlier versions of Edge Web browser that store the cookies in text files, exactly like Internet Explorer. But starting from Fall Creators Update 1709 of Windows 10, the cookies of Microsoft Edge Web browser are stored in the WebCacheV01.dat database together with the history and cache information, so IECookiesView cannot read the cookies of Edge anymore. EdgeCookiesView is a new tool designed to read the cookies from the WebCacheV01.dat database. Versions History Version 1.17: Added 'Add Remark Line To cookies.txt' option. When it's turned on, '# Netscape HTTP Cookie File' header line is added to cookies.txt file format. Start Using EdgeCookiesView This utility doesn't require any installation process or additional DLL files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - EdgeCookiesView.exe After running EdgeCookiesView, the main window displays the cookies stored by Microsoft Edge Web browser (Assuming that you have Fall Creators Update 1709 of Windows 10 or later updates). If you want to view the cookies from external system, open the 'Advanced Options' window (F9), choose the 'External database file' option and then select ...

EMCO WakeOnLan 2.10.6
EMCO WakeOnLan 2.10.6 An advanced Wake-on-LAN utility, that is ready to work in networks of any scale, to power up one or any number of remote PCs with one mouse click. No manual work is required to wake up PCs. The application automatically detects MAC addresses using four different methods and send WOL packets to one or multiple PCs. Professional version also allows to create reusable WOL tasks and schedule them for an automatic execution. Wake-on-LAN (WOL) is a networking standard that allows to power on PC by sending it a network message. There is not a standard implementation for Windows, but a number of third-party utilities implement Wake-on-LAN to allow wake up PCs remotely. Usually Wake-on-LAN utilities can wake up only one PC and are useless if you need to turn on multiple PCs at once. Also they require you to enter MAC address of remote PC manually to send it a WOL packet. Some of Wake-on-LAN implementations can detect MAC address, but used detection methods don't work in a complex network environment. Why EMCO WakeOnLan Free is Different? EMCO WakeOnLan is a free tool that helps you to avoid all these well-known problems, described above. Unlike other Wake-on-LAN implementations, it allows you to wake up multiple remote PCs simultaneously, in scope of one operation. The application also is able to retrieve MAC address automatically, using one of four MAC detection methods, that is the best for your network environment. MAC addresses are saved to the database, so you can save time and skip detecting them again on next WOL operation. Advanced UI allows you to configure own groups of PCs and wake up all PCs in group with one mouse click. Get Advantages with EMCO WakeOnLan Professional EMCO WakeOnLan Professional offers additional features that allows you to completely automate using Wake-on-LAN operations in your ...

EXE Flashpoint 10 Infinity
Flashpoint 10 Infinity BlueMaxima's Flashpoint is a webgame preservation project. Internet history and culture is important, and content made on web platforms including, but not limited to Adobe Flash, make up a significant portion of that culture. This project is dedicated to preserving as many experiences from these platforms as possible, so that they aren't lost to time. Since early 2018, Flashpoint has saved more than 90,000 games and 10,000 animations running on 33 different platforms. Flashpoint was started in January 2018 by BlueMaxima in an attempt to outrun the disappearance of content prior to the death of Flash. It has since evolved into an international project involving over 100 community contributors, encompassing both webgames and animations created for numerous internet plugins, frameworks, and standards. Flashpoint utilizes a strong selection of open-source software. By combining the power of Apache, a custom-built launcher, and our own application called the Flashpoint Secure Player, we can play web-based media in a quick, user-friendly environment without leaving permanent changes or security holes on your computer. We offer two versions of the software; Ultimate, which contains every piece of media in an offline ready format, and Infinity, a smaller distribution that allows you to download and play content at will. Both versions are unaffected by the end of support for Flash and other plugins. This project is and will always be entirely non-profit, to preserve the sense of community and sharing that came with Flash and its ilk. Search the Collection - Request Content for Archival WARNING FOR AVAST AND AVG USERS: Important Flashpoint components will be detected as a virus and quarantined; this is a false positive. Follow these instructions to make an exception for Flashpoint. BlueMaxima works hard to keep all of their downloads virus-free. Common Issues All games are opening to a white screen. This is commonly caused by ...

FolderTimeUpdate v1.72
FolderTimeUpdate v1.72 A simple tool for Windows that scans all files and folders under the base folder you choose, and updates the 'Modified Time' of every folder according the latest modified time of the files stored in it. This tool might be useful if, for example, you backup a cluster of folders and then restore them into another disk, but the backup program doesn't restore the original modified time of the folders. System Requirements This utility works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. Changes Version 1.72: Fixed bug: When using the 'Exclude the following folders from scanning' option, the base folder was also checked with the excluded folders list. Start Using FolderTimeUpdate FolderTimeUpdate doesn't require any installation process or additional dll files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - FolderTimeUpdate.exe After running FolderTimeUpdate, you can choose the desired base folder and the other options and then click the 'Start' button to start updating the modified time of all folders. FreeBASIC 1.08.0
FreeBASIC 1.08.0 A free/open source (GPL), BASIC compiler for Microsoft Windows, DOS and Linux. FreeBASIC is a self-hosting compiler which makes use of the GNU binutils programming tools as backends and can produce console, graphical/GUI executables, dynamic and static libraries. FreeBASIC fully supports the use of C libraries and has partial C++ library support. This lets programmers use and create libraries for C and many other languages. It supports a C style preprocessor, capable of multiline macros, conditional compiling and file inclusion. FreeBASIC has been rated close in speed with mainstream tools, such as GCC. More about FreeBASIC The FreeBASIC project is a set of cross-platform development tools, consisting of a compiler, GNU-based assembler, linker and archiver, and supporting runtime libraries, including a software-based graphics library. The compiler, fbc, currently supports building for i386-based architectures on the DOS, Linux, Windows and Xbox platforms. The project also contains thin bindings (header files) to some popular 3rd party libraries such as the C runtime library, Allegro, SDL, OpenGL, GTK+, the Windows API and many others, as well as example programs for many of these libraries. FreeBASIC is a high-level programming language supporting procedural, object-orientated and meta-programming paradigms, with a syntax compatible to Microsoft QuickBASIC. In fact, the FreeBASIC project originally began as an attempt to create a code-compatible, free alternative to Microsoft QuickBASIC, but it has since grown into a powerful development tool. FreeBASIC can be seen to extend the capabilities of Microsoft QuickBASIC in a number of ways, supporting more data types, language constructs, programming styles, and modern platforms and APIs. BASIC compatibility FreeBASIC is not a "new" BASIC language. You don't need to learn much new if you are familiar with any Microsoft-BASIC variant. You can use either "-lang qb" for compatibility, or (default) "-lang fb" for some of the new features, but ...

Friture v0.49
Friture v0.49 A free, open source, real-time audio analyzer. Features The purpose of Friture is to help analyze an audio signal to understand the characteristics of this signal (fundamental, harmonics, feedback, etc.), to describe the source/room/receiver behaviour (reverberation, gain peaks, etc.), or to make adjustments in the preprocessing (room equalization). This is achieved by providing a set of widgets to visualize audio data: 2D Spectrogram widget The 2D spectrogram widget displays audio data versus both frequency and time, in a rolling-against-time fashion. The time-frequency resolution of the display is fixed by the window length of the Fourier transform (as for the minimum response time of the spectrum widget). It is also limited by the resolution of your display in pixels. Spectrum widget The spectrum widget displays audio data versus frequency. This is very appropriate to visualize the characteristics of tha signal: fundamental frequency, harmonics, feedback frequencies, etc. The response time of the display is configurable. The minimum response time is linked to the window length of the Fourier transform. For a FFT of 1024 points, and given the sampling rate of 48000 Hz used by Friture, the minimum response time is 1024/48000 = 21.3 ms. Additionally, the widget draws peaks for each frequency component. These peaks mark the recent maxima of the spectrum, and start to decrease shortly after the peak was reached. Finally, a label identifies the frequency of the global maximum of the spectrum. Octave Spectrum widget The octave spectrum widget displays audio data versus time, similarly to the Spectrum widget. Audio data is grouped in frequency bins with fraction-of-octave widths. Each frequency bin is the result of a fraction-of-octave filter. The following figure illustrates the frequency response of the filter bank used with the 3 bands-per-octave setting. The filters for each octave are applied after decimations of the signal. Both the band-pass filters and ...

FullEventLogView v1.80 A simple tool for Windows 11/10/8/7/Vista that displays in a table the details of all events from the event logs of Windows, including the event description. It allows you to view the events of your local computer, events of a remote computer on your network, and events stored in .evtx files. It also allows you to export the events list to text/csv/tab-delimited/html/xml file from the GUI and from command-line. System Requirements This utility works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows Vista and up to Windows 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. For Windows XP and older systems, you can use the MyEventViewer tool. FullEventLogView vs MyEventViewer MyEventViewer is a very old tool originally developed for Windows XP/2000/2003. When it's turned on, the main table and the lower pane text-box are displayed in black background and white text, instead of default system colors. Fixed issue: When copying data to the clipboard or exporting to tab-delimited file, every line contained an empty field in the end of the line.
